Here's what we've gotten done this week:

1.  50-page personal profiles that had to be handwritten, one for each of us.  Spent most of last weekend working on them, and they were GRUELING!

2.  Phone conference with our contact who coordinates all of our paperwork for the homestudy.

3.  Ordered passports - $282.

4.  Went to Summit County Jail to be fingerprinted and get local criminal check - $140.  The jail was GROSS, and we had to take our children with us.  Just FYI, there are separate databases for local, state, and federal criminals, so we could be serial killers in North Dakota, but our city might not catch it, even if we were fingerprinted, because we were only having a local criminal check.  In addition, there's a separate database for child abuse checks.  So, if I got arrested for stealing a car and the police scanned my fingerprints, I might not show up as a pervert?  That's just wrong!!! 

5.  Had to drive through slummy Barberton to find the Summit County Health District and order a well water test - $65.  Got that scheduled for next Tuesday.  Funny thing is, the test only runs $15 in Summit County, Utah, but the guy told Dale he couldn't make it out to our house.  Bummer!

6.  Had a fire inspection of our home.  That was the easiest thing we've done so far, and the only thing that has been free.  The lieutenant was so friendly, and the inspection only took him a couple minutes.  He then proceeded to stay for almost 3 hours to shoot the breeze.

Our checkbook feels like it's on fire.  We're out of money.  I'm busy preparing bracelets and some other items to sell at the Hartville Flea Market on Saturday, May 28th - Memorial Day weekend.  If you'll be near Hartville, stop by and check out my booth.  I'll be outside, in space 4104, just to the left of the North Pavilion as you exit the Flea Market building.
