This blog started during the process of adopting our daughter, Camellia, from China. The title comes from many, many months of selling Pandora-style bracelets to help fund her adoption. Camellia came home just before Thanksgiving, on November 18th of 2012. We are now using this site to keep our supporters updated on Camellia's progress, as well as sharing updates on our older three children, Jack, Ian, and Chloe. God has richly blessed our family, and we invite you to look through this window into our lives.

Feeling like we've just cleared a huge hurdle in our adoption journey...Our dossier paperwork has been mailed to the adoption agency.  Things should be out of our hands now, and in the hands of others and God.  This has not been an easy process for us.  Do to matters outside our control, some of our paperwork had become too outdated (6 months old) and needed to be redone, all at additional expense to us.  It took longer than expected for our immigration approval to be cleared through the U.S.C.I.S., so that was an additional hang-up.  We are so happy to have the paperwork portion of the process behind us.  We know there will be more to rush around and complete once we receive our referral, but maybe it will be easier once we have a picture of a sweet little girl to motivate us.

Our hearts are yearning knowing that our daughter is on the other side of the world waiting for us to bring her home.  It is so difficult waiting on processes to be completed when you just want to embrace your precious little girl.  One of the most difficult parts of the process is the tremendous lack of support we have received throughout the process.  With the exception of one household of family members and some very close friends, we have not been lifted up throughout this process.  Our hearts have been burdened to adopt for over 10 years, and when people show little to no interest, it is hard to comprehend.  How can others not share our desire to adopt?  How can they not be happy for us?  How can they know what we are going through, yet avoid the subject like it will all just go away if they don't talk about it?  This is our life's calling, and we want to share it with others.

Our need for prayer continues, primarily for finances.  We have exhausted all of our options, and we will run short when it comes to the final leg of this journey.  We have applied for several grants, but we have received no help.  Please pray that God will provide for us.
